Our town is drifting, losing local businesses and residents without a coherent plan for the next 25 years. We must reexamine our redevelopment opportunities, We must start encouraging green building techniques, protecting local businesses and ensuring a viable beach to support our family tourism economy. I have lived in Nags Head for the last 25 years. I have built 2 successful businesses in our area and for the last six years I had the privilege of serving as a Nags Head Commissioner. With my experience in business organizations I will help instill the customer service attitude in our local government and keep tight control on our spending. Our local businesses have had to economize in many ways; it makes sense that local government should more carefully control its expenses in tight times.
Most importantly, as Mayor, I will change the Town's attitude towards its citizens. We need a government that responds to its people and not the other way around.
We all cherish Nags Head as a place to live, and with the experience of the past 25 years, we should better define and describe how we hope the Town will be at the end of the next 25 years.
I have the leadership, the tolerance of differing opinions, and the thick skin to be your Mayor.

I would appreciate your vote on November 3.

There are many ways to support a new future for Nags Head however campaign contributions are not one of them.
I am not soliciting or accepting campaign contributions. Further I intend to limit my expenditures to no more that $3,000 dollars. Money causes nothing but problems in local political campaigns, no matter how transparent its sources may be.
